sphingotest® penKid®
sphingotest® penKid® is a non-automated immunoluminometric assay (ILMA) for the in vitro diagnostic quantitative measurement of Proenkephalin A 119-159 in human EDTA plasma.
Proenkephalin A 119-159 (penKid*) measurement, in conjunction with clinical assessments and other laboratory findings, is used as an aid in the diagnosis of acute kidney injury (AKI) in adult patients with sepsis or septic shock.
The sphingotest® penKid® is intended for use by professional users in laboratory settings.
Assay technology
The microtiter plate (MTP) assay is based on a chemiluminescence sandwich immunoassay technology, which is a standard tool in analytical research and diagnostic testing laboratories.
